Thanksgiving
Dorothy and Barney hosted Thanksgiving dinner for me, Denny and Nancy Weiser and Jen and Larry Hoecker. The lovely table setting provided a pretty backdrop for the delicious meal.

Sugarplum wreath
The Relatively Speaking team volunteered to make a wreath for the Sugarplum silent auction. Dorothy found instructions on You Tube, purchased the supplies and got us organized. I provided the craft room and Lori added experience.

Painting Workshop
While the kitchen remodel was underway, I took off for three days to participate in another Donna Bland workshop. We painted local area barns and finished with a painting of our own choice.
Although I wasn't into barns, I learned some basic techniques, including the importance of an undercoat and using more paint on my brush. And I enjoyed using the right (or is it left?) side of my brain.
Oh, the food and wine were nice too.

Junior College Reunion
The Junior College luncheon kicked off Homecoming Week. After lunch, we JC grads were treated to a preview of the new sculpture created for the Centenial. The sculpture, entitled "The Next 100 Years" is a stylized Griffon. Dr. Vartabedian claims that over a million people a year will be able to see the sculpture from Mitchell Avenue.
